For example, one study conducted in 2020, examined the impact of hypnosis on weight loss and leptin levels within a group of 60 women with obesity.  Leptin is a crucial hormone that regulates appetite & energy balance. And it plays a significant role in weight management.

 

For eight weeks the study tracked the effects of hypnosis. Participants who underwent hypnosis experienced notable improvements in both weight loss and leptin levels, indicating a positive influence on appetite control & metabolism. And as a bonus participants in the hypnosis group reported lower levels of anxiety, depression and stress which are often associated with emotional eating and weight gain.
